These days I barely have time to make sure we're all dressed by the time Jonathan comes home at night. As you might have noticed, a lot of the time, in the pictures I post, we're still in our pj's.
Mondays are good days for us. We don't have too much planned. Going to the library is our main objective. I've been feeling like I wish we had less to do as far as soccer and homeschool co-op. I'm always tweaking my priorities. So, Mondays are good. We can just be home and read. We can draw.
Yesterday, as I was sorting books to bring back to the library, I picked up this lovely book on seahorses. Kids love drawing, and my kids are no exception. But, they do need a little inspiration sometimes. Like mom saying, "I think I'm going to draw some seahorses!!" I do need to draw more, I think. I need to build my own confidence in that area.
I just love Solomon's style of art. For a while there, he had lost his spark (when I took him out of school) and now it seems that he's really loving it. I think one has to be free of stress to really feel creative. Or creativity is a stress reliever.
I have to admit that seahorses are awesome!
It felt good to be with my three kids, drawing seahorses. Just being together creatively.
I hope you're having a nice day!
What a cool book, cheers Marie

great idea to get a book to help inspire! I've been sitting and coloring with the girls lately and it's nice.

You are so right about kids needing inspiration. I need to find the confidence to be more inspiring to Henry! What a lovely day!
